Dil Chahta Hai, which released in 2000, revolves around a story of three friends. The film stars Amir Khan, Akshay Khanna, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kampadia.
The film was directed by Farhan Akhtar and was well-received by critics as there were not many films with friendship as its main element.
