Farzana Bibi Case: ATC hands death sentence to four relatives

LAHORE: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) handed capital punishment to Farzana Bibi’s father, brother, cousin and former husband in her murder case, ARY News reports.

Farzana Bibi was stoned to death by her family members outside Lahore High Court after she arrived there to file her statement in her marriage case.

The court, in the verdict of Farzana murder case, handed capital punishment to the victim’s father Azeem, former husband Mazhar Iqbal, brother Zahid and cousin Jahan Khan after they were proven guilty of committing the crime.

Another family member identified as Ghulam Ali has been awarded 10 years sentence for his role in the incident.

ATC has also fined the convicts of Rs. 0.1 million each.
