Kapoor and Sons also stars veteran actor Rishi Kapoor in a prominent role. Fawad bagged the role after his successful Bollywood debut Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor became a big hit with the masses and earned him his only Filmfare award for best debut.
In Kapoor and Sons, Fawad plays the brother of Sidharth Malhotra and actress Alia Bhatt plays their mutual love interest. Fawad and Sidharth will play the role of authors in the movie, according to details the Pakistani actor spilled in a recent interview.
Fawad Khan had also refused to shoot intimate scenes that were required of his character from the film, with Alia Bhatt. The actor had reportedly told Karan Johar plainly that intimate scenes made him uncomfortable and the fact that he did not want to shoot any scene that would hurt the sentiments of his fans back home in Pakistan.
Fawad certainly does not have a dearth of fans in India or back home in Pakistan. The heartthrob was recently names as the third hottest Indian male celebrity of 2014 in India, followed only by Indian batsman Virat Kohli and Hrithik Roshan.
