Fazl ‘against’ sending troops to Yemen

KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Sunday said that sending Pakistani troops to Yemen is not an easy thing, ARY News reported.

Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday called on the chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), Pir Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi revered as Pir Pagara, at his residence.

Talking to media afterwards, Fazl said that sending Pakistani troops to Yemen to fight Houthi rebels is not an easy thing.

He said that if the country is facing ‘some pressure’, then the government should take the entire political leadership into confidence regarding it.

Yesterday, the JUIF chief also held a meeting with co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House.
