Fazl not sure of the ones attacking him

KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUIF) chief, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said Thursday that he has survived two different attempts earlier, however it is not yet known as to who is actually waging such attacks on him, ARY News reported.

In his exclusive talk during ARY News program ‘Siyasat or Sazish’, Maulana Fazlur Rahman told he has been listening about Jundullah orchestrating attacks on him; however he is not sure about anyone.

He said that we support democracy, constitution and the parliament.

Fazl said we are against militancy and we talk of moderation, adding that it is not yet clear who is offended with which stance of ours.

Earlier today, Maulana Fazlur Rahman had a narrow escape from a suicide blast, which took place immediately after his address with a public gathering at Mekangi Road, Quetta.

The blast however left two dead and 23 injured, out of which four were said to be in precarious condition at a hospital.

Banned outfit Jundullah, shortly after the attack, had claimed the responsibility of it saying that the JUIF chief was targeted for his pro-democracy approach.
