Fazl unaware of ‘mistakes’ resulting in attacks on him

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF) chief, Maulana Fazlur Rahman on Saturday expressed his lack of knowledge as to what ‘mistakes’ he has committed which led to such deadly attempts on him, ARY News reported.

According to details, Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed and PM’s Aide on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz met the JUIF chief at his residence in Islamabad and inquired about his well-being.

On this occasion, Pervez Rasheed said that the country cannot afford such attacks on anyone, whether it is political figures or the general public.

At this, Maulana Fazlur Rahman lamented that he was not informed about the investigations of the past attacks on him, adding that he does not know why is he being targeted.

He said that few elements tend to lead the country towards anarchy and want to snatch away our values and civilization from us.

Sartaj Aziz declared the Quetta suicide attack as a reaction of military’s offensive against terrorists and miscreants.

He said that the Pakistan Army is fighting terrorists with great courage and valor, and it will eventually be succeeded in eliminating terrorism from the state.
