Fazl vows to foil conspiracies against religious seminaries

SUKKUR: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Fazl (JUI-F) Maluana Fazal-ur-Rehman said on Saturday those religious seminaries (Madrassas) that are not willing to get registered should be closed, ARY News reported.

Speaking in Madrassa Hamadia today, Maulana Fazlur Rahman vowed to turn down conspiracies against Madrassas in the name of terrorism by saying “Terrorism cannot be linked to any religion.”

He asked authorities to stop taking discriminatory actions against Madrassas.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman said around 26,000 religious seminaries of the country are already registered while only 250 are unregistered.

Earlier today, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali chaired a meeting over Madrassa reforms in the country.

During the meeting, it was decided that action would be taken against the religious seminaries that will be found to be involved in terrorist activities.
The meeting also decided that the unregistered seminaries will be shutdown.
