Federal govt seeks Governor Sindh’s resignation: sources

Sources informed that government demanded his resignation in the light of allegations leveled by executed criminal Saulat Mirza.

Mirza had alleged that governor Sindh provides protection to MQM workers and those involved in criminal activities.

Sources told that government was now mulling on possible names for the governor’s post.

It is learnt that the centre has also taken Sindh government into confidence in this regard.

However, the spokesperson of Prime Minister House has expressed ignorance about any such decision.

Recently, the MQM had also clamoured for resignation of governor Sindh, criticizing him for failing to provide justice and stop oppression against MQM workers.

However, Ibad did not respond to any statements of MQM nor to the rumblings about his exit.
