Feudals, elites divided the country, says Siraj

GUJRANWALA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) carried out a Pakistan Zindabad rally in Gujranwala on Friday, which was addressed by the party chief Sirajul Haq, ARY News reports.

JI Chief Sirajul Haq, addressing the rally, said that the politicians earn billions of rupees after spending crores in the elections. He added that the country cannot improve if such a system prevails.

“The country got divided because of the feudals and nawaabs in the country. Poverty can be eradicated if the rulers bring their money back to the country”, Haq said.

“There are floods in Punjab whereas sit-ins are being held in Islamabad but the politicians are not tired of playing their politics”, he added.

The JI Chief said that the political Jirgah managed to bring the government along with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to negotiate but that also failed.

“The JI has sent suggestions to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PAT Chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri for resolving the political crisis. Let’s see what happens about it”, said Sirajul Haq.
