FIA to bring back Baldia factory fire accused to Karachi

KARACHI: A team of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will bring back Baldia Factory Fire main accused Abdul Rehman alias Bhola from Bangkok to Karachi, ARY News reported.

Interpol officials arrested Bhola with the help of the commandos of Thai police from a hotel of Bangkok this morning.

Deputy Director FIA Badruddin Baloch and Inspector Rehmatullah Domki will fly to Bangkok to bring back the accused to Karachi. The Interior Ministry has reportedly approved the two-member team to leave for Thailand.

Earlier, Bhola’s wife said that her husband was hiding at Nine-Zero after the factory arson attack.

Bhola, the central figure of Baldia factory fire incident, which claimed over 250 lives of the factory workers, was in Karachi till May after September 2012 incident, Sameena Bano, said while divulging details of four-year long hiding of her husband.

Bano said that her spouse was an employee of the provincial health department.

After the incident the party kept him in Nine Zero for some time, the wife said. The party ordered him to go in hiding after he was named in the case. After the party orders Bhola, passed some more time in hiding at homes of the relatives and when he arranged money he escaped to Malaysia, Sameena Bano further said.

The family was regularly sending 30,000 to 35,000 rupees to him as monthly expenses, she said.

“Bhola had arrived 36 days ago Thailand from Malaysia,” she further said.

“We came to know about his arrest when telephoned at his hotel,” she added.
