KARACHI: The First Information Report (FIR) of the two military soldiers killed in Karachi on Tuesday was filed at Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Garden police station, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

Murder and terrorism charges have been included in the FIR against the perpetrators of the crime.

According to sources, IG Sindh A.D. Khawaja had issued special orders on 31st March that the cases of attacks on security forces in the city will be filed at CTD stations.

Police sources said that the law enforcement agencies were facing problems determining in which station the case should be filed as the crime scene was at the crossroads with three police stations.

Gunmen on Tuesday shot dead two army personnel identified as Razzaq and Khadim Hussain at Saddar Parking Plaza in Karachi. The law enforcement agencies led by paramilitary Rangers have been cracking down on militants and criminal gangs for almost three years in the metropolis.

The gunmen who killed two Army soldiers were aware that the CCTV cameras in the area were not working, claimed the investigation officials.

Raids have been carried out by the law enforcement agencies after the terrorist incident, in which several suspects have been taken into custody.
