No casualties so reported in the fire erupted in the engineering department of the national airliner.
PIA’s engineering complex termed as a sensitive area with high security, where the aircraft equipment are manufactured and repaired.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers arrived at the scene of the blaze. The area has been cordoned off by the law enforcement personnel.
A large number of fire tenders put off the fire after struggle of several hours inside the PIA engineering complex.
The fire had erupted due to short-circuit. However, no casualty was reported.
