Firing at Motorway Police vehicle kills 1, 2 injured

RAWALPINDI: A Motorway Police man was killed while two others were injured as a result of firing on their vehicle here on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

According to details, unknown assailants targeted a vehicle of the Motorway Police near Taxila-Khanpur bypass due to which a Motorway Police man was killed and two were injured.

Meanwhile, the injured personnel along with the dead body of the deceased were immediately shifted to a hospital.

The spokesperson of the Motorway Police confirmed the incident of killing of a policeman near Taxila-Khanpur bypass. He added that two other personnel miraculously escaped the gunfire during the episode.

However, it is yet to be established that who the attackers were and what motive they had behind firing on the vehicle of Motorway Police.
