The driver ran over two motorbikes in Baldia Town-II killing five persons including four members of a family, police sources said.
The victims have been identified as Mohammad Nazeer 40, Rizwan 30, Sakeena 15, Asifa 08. Two-year Duaa was succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
According to police, the victims were returning from a wedding party when crushed under the wheels of an overspeeding dumper.
The driver managed to escape from the accident scene after the incident.
Police transferred the dead bodies to civil hospital and initiated investigation into the incident.
