According to details, the female named Musarrat committed suicide over a domestic dispute by consuming pills. Police arrived at the home of the deceased after being informed of the incident. The family members of the deceased started pelting bricks on them.
Five police officers were injured whereas the windows of several vehicles broken during the incident. The wounded cops were taken to a private hospital for treatment.
A case has been filed against the unknown persons.
CPO Multan Azhar Akram said that no one will be allowed to take the law in their hands. He added that the culprits behind the incident will be brought to justice.
