Five suspects of Karachi school attack arrested

KARACHI: Five persons said to be involved in the cracker attack at a Karachi school were nabbed during raids in different parts of the metropolis, ARY News reports on Thursday.

Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali had formed a committee to investigate the attack on the school located at Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.

The law enforcers carried out raids at Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Abul Hassan Isfahani Road, Sohrab Goth, Gabol Town and other areas of the city in which five suspects were arrested.

The nabbed suspects were shifted to an unknown location for investigation.

According to Police, the suspects were identified via CCTV footage of the incident.

It should be noted that terrorists had thrown crackers at the school on Tuesday. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident as the blast took place before the school timings.
