The Police and Rangers launched a targeted operation in Talhar town of Badin district and arrested five target killers identified as Ghulam Mustafa, Khalid, Abdul Rehman, Qadir and Sahib Khan.
According to Rangers’ sources, all arrested hitmen belong to Karachi.
The law enforcement agencies after initial questioning from the nabbed accused have started raids in different parts of the district to arrest other criminals hiding in the area.
Several criminals fled from Karachi to other parts of Pakistan after launching of Rangers-led crackdown against criminals in the city in September 2013. The law and order situation in the city has improved to a large extent after two years of the operation against the criminals involved in target killings, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and other heinous crimes.
