Five terrorists likely to be hanged in 24 hours

Four terrorists named Kamran, Umar Azeem, Ahsaan Nadeem and Mohammad Zahid were convicted on charges of attacking an army camp in Chenab and an intelligence agency office in Multan.

The convicts are expected to be sent to the gallows within 24 hours as the death warrants of the terrorists have been received by the jail administration.

Strict security measures have been taken for the hanging. The overall security of the prison will be handled by the military whereas Rangers’ will handle the inner security of the jail.

Entry of common citizens has been restricted for two kilometres around Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Niaz Mohammad, the mastermind of the terrorist attack on former President General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf, is also likely to be hanged in the next 24 hours as his black warrants have been issued.

He is likely to be hanged in Peshawar or Rawalpindi.
