Forces’ chiefs pledge not to let motherland suffer any harm

RAWALPINDI: The chiefs of armed forces of Pakistan Tuesday reiterated their resolve to respond befittingly to any threat facing the country and not to let the motherland suffer any harm, ARY News reported.

According to details, Chairman General Rashad Mehmood today presided a meeting of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at Chaklala, which was attended by COAS Gen Raheel Sharif, PAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Naval Chief Admiral Zakaullah, Defense Secretary Lt Gen (R) Muhammad Alam Khattak and other senior military officials.

The meeting reviewed professional affairs of the armed forces, preparations and capability to deal with any threats, and expressed satisfaction on it.

The military command also assessed efforts to root out terrorism completely and cooperation in this regard.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee also held discussion over national security, geo-strategic situation of the region, joint military exercises and challenges facing the country.

Moreover, military relief activities in flood-hit areas of country also came under discussion during the meeting.
