According to details, the Foreign Office summoned the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad to inform them that Pakistan had arrested an on-duty Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officer from the country’s Balochistan province.

The Foreign Office also intends to seek the Indian High Commissioner’s stance on yesterday’s arrest of the alleged RAW officer. The Foreign Office claimed that undeniable proof had been obtained which pointed out to the RAW officer’s involvement in fanning violence across the province.

Balochistan Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti disclosed yesterday that Pakistani security forces and intelligence agencies had arrested a serving Indian Navy Official named Bhushan Yadav who was operating as a RAW officer in Balochsitan. He also said that the RAW official was responsible for destabilization in the province and disturbance of the law and order.

Bugti had also said that Yadav had been transferred to Islamabad for further interrogation while investigations were underway to extract maximum information from the alleged spy.

Pakistan has time and again, over the recent years, alleged that Indian intelligence agency RAW was behind terrorism in Pakistan and was responsible for sabotaging the law and order as well as peace of the country. Currently, Pakistan and India are co-operating with each other to investigate the Pathankot airbase attack in India.
