Four Baloch separatists lay down arms

QUETTA: Four nationals including a commander belonging to the outlawed Baloch Republican Army (BRA) surrendered arms during a ceremony here in Quetta on Monday.

BRA Commander Abdul Sattar along with Iftikhar, Najeebullah and Idrees announced to join the national mainstream by laying down their weapons in front of the provincial government.

Sattar said that he used to run his organization from Afghanistan.

Balochistan’s Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that their government was saying from the start that a neighbouring country was involved in spreading anarchy in the province.

“There are no camps of Afghan Taliban in Balochistan”, Bugti stated.

“The number of Baloch separatists in the province is less than 2,000”, he added.
