Four bullet-riddled bodies found near Lyari Expressway

KARACHI: In separate incidents of violence at least eight people were killed in Karachi including four bullet-riddled bodies found near Lyari Expressway on Thursday, ARY News reported.

According to Police sources, four bullet-riddled bodies were found from two spots near Lyari Expressway adjacent to PIB Colony.

The dead bodies have been transferred to a hospital. The identities of the deceased could not be established yet.

A dead body of a young man with torture wounds was found from Korangi-1 area of Karachi.

A suspected robber was killed in exchange of fire with police during a robbery incident on Mauripur road.

According Police officials the accused had injured a man who resisted the robbery. A handgun and bullets were also recovered from the accused.

The dead body of the accused robber was transferred to Civil Hospital.

Earlier, two criminals were killed in a shootout with police as they opened fire on a police van in Peerabad area of Orangi Town.

The police van was patrolling the area when it was fired upon by the criminals. Firearms, hand grenades and a motorcycle was also recovered from the criminals, officials said.

Police in a targeted operation near Tariq Road’s Liberty Chowk arrested seven suspects.
