Four dead as truck runs over school in Azad Kashmir

BAGH, AZAD KASHMIR: Three girls and a school teacher were killed when an out of control truck rammed into a public school building in Bagh city of Azad Kashmir, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to details, the teacher was holding class in the ground of a school in Beerpani area in Bagh city when a speedy truck hit the compound wall of the building and ran over the teacher and children of a class in the premises.

Three schoolgirls along with their teacher were killed whereas thirty other students were injured under the wheels of the truck.

The victims were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Bagh for medical treatment. It has been said that the driver lost control of his vehicle after brake failure, which resulted in the tragic incident.

Bad roads, poor maintenance of vehicles and reckless driving are major causes of traffic accidents in Pakistan, which claim hundreds of lives every year.
