Four-kilogram bomb defused in Quetta

QUETTA: A terror bid was foiled in Quetta as Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused a four-kilogram bomb near the passport office in Quetta on Friday, ARY News reported.

According to Police, a bomb was planted by unknown terrorists near the passport office located at Joint Road.

BDS personnel after being informed by the police about presence of a bomb device, reached at the scene and defused the explosive device. The remote controlled bomb was planted inside a steel pipe, the bomb squad officials said.

Ball bearing along with nuts and bolts were used in the explosive device.

The law enforcement agencies have launched the investigation of the incident.
