Four Lyari gangsters shot dead in encounter

KARACHI: Four members of a Lyari Gang War group were killed in an encounter by law enforcing agencies at Lyari area of Karachi, ARY News reports on Sunday.

Police and Rangers took a joint action against members of Baba Ladla group near the shrine of Bhawan Shah in which four gangsters, including key member Shoaib, were killed in an encounter.

Heavy amount of weapons were recovered from the slain gangsters.

A member of an outlawed group named Salman was gunned down in an encounter at Lyari area of the metropolis. He was a member of Azeez group and was involved in an attack on a police mobile.

One person was shot dead in a shooting incident at Metroville area of SITE whereas a bullet riddled body was found from Gulshan-e-Hadeed area.

Two people, including a Rangers man, were injured in a shooting incident near Civic Centre.

Police arrested two dacoits from the jurisdiction of Preedy Police Station. The dacoits were looting people by disguising as police officers.

Ten suspects were rounded up in search operations at Manghopir, Kunwari Colony and Sultanabad areas of Karachi.
