SHEIKHUPURA: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) gunned down four terrorists in an encounter in Sheikhupura, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to a CTD spokesman, the enforcement personnel, on a tip off, about presence of eight terror suspects carried out a raid in Sheikhupura. The militants opened fire at the law enforcement personnel, which was resulted in a shootout between CTD personnel and the terrorists.
Four armed men were killed in the exchange of fire, while four others managed to escape from the scene, the spokesman said.
The terrorists were planning to target sensitive installations in the area, he said.
Explosive material, weapons, hand grenades and detonators were recovered from the slain terrorists, he added.
The CTD personnel conducting raids to arrest the accomplices of the terrorists.
