Four terror suspects killed in shootout near Lahore

LAHORE: Four terrorism suspects were killed in a raid of law enforcement personnel in Sherakot area of Lahore, ARY News reported on Thursday.

According to sources, a secret agency’s personnel conducted intelligence-based raid on a hideout of terrorists in Iqbal Town Division’s Sherakot police limit on the outskirts of Lahore.

Around seven to eight terrorists hiding in the house, opened fire at the personnel of law enforcement agency. The shootout continued for half an hour in which four terrorists were killed with the fire while remaining three to four terrorists managed to escaped from the scene.

The slain terrorists have been identified as Amjad, Fayyaz, Sadaqat and Saddam. They were involved in suicide attack on provincial home minister Col. (retd) Shujaa Khanzada, officials claimed.

The law enforcers have initiated a hunt for arrest of the fleeing terror suspects.

According to the sources, the terrorists were planning an attack on the law enforcement agencies.

Arms, hand grenades and other explosives were recovered from the slain terrorists.
