According to polio officials, the infection has been reported in 18-month old Uzair in Sukkur.
The number of polio cases in Sindh has reached to 3 with the new reported infection, officials said.
Polio officials further said that special anti-polio campaign will be initiated on emergency basis in affected areas.
Besides Sindh, a case of polio has also been reported in FATA.
Immunization of children remains a big challenge for Pakistan, with polio a particular problem. Polio vaccination teams have repeatedly come under attack as many religious clerics have declared immunization of children as un-Islamic.
Last year, the number of polio cases recorded in Pakistan soared to 306, the highest in 14 years.
