Govt dissolves PSO governing board over fuel crisis

ISLAMABAD: In view of recent petrol crisis, the federal government on Wednesday dissolved the entire governing board of the Pakistan State Oil (PSO), however all the ministers concerned are still not taken to task, ARY News reported.

After blaming the MD and Deputy MD of the PSO for the fuel crisis, the federal government now dissolved the entire governing board of the state-owned oil company.

None of the concerned ministers was taken on task for the petrol crisis, which affected millions of people across the country a few days ago.

On the other hand, the Chairman of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Saeed Ahmed Khan was also asked to accept the responsibility for the crisis and tender his resignation.

He was sent on three months of forced leave after he refused to abide by the directives, while he will also have to face the reference filed by the government.
