According to details, Mufti Naeem led the funeral prayers of his slain son-in-law, Maulana Masood Baig, who was shot ded earlier today in Hyderi. Representatives of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamat e Islami (JI), Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) and numerous other social and political figures attended the prayer.
Maulana Masood will be laid to rest in a local graveyard in SITE area.
Meanwhile, CM Sindh, Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the brutal killing of Maulana Masood Baig and ordered the concerned authorities for immediate arrest of the culprits.
Our correspondent Salman Lodhi told that Maulana Masood was shot dead in Hyderi, while he was on his way to pick up his children from the school. The slain religious cleric received multiple bullets in the chest and could not sustain.
It was further reported that four armed attackers targeted Maulana Masood, who managed a clean getaway from the scene.
