Gabol quits MQM, resigns from NA membership

ISLAMABAD: Senior politician, Nabeel Gabol while parting ways from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has resigned from his National Assembly membership, ARY News reported.

In his exclusive word with ARY News, Nabeel Gabol said that he has tendered his resignation to the Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. He also confirmed to have abandoned the MQM.

He said that he considered himself ‘misfit’ for the party and that he might not work up to the extent the party expected from him.

Gabol told that he will soon hold a presser in Islamabad, during which he will elaborate his plans regarding his future role in politics.

Nabeel Gabol had long been a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), however he left it and joined MQM in March 2013, following which he was elected as an MNA in the General Elections 2013 on the ticket of MQM from Karachi.
