Galle Test: India 128/2 at stumps

GALLE: India ended the first day’s proceedings of the first test match at India at Galle against Sri Lanka on 128/2, ARY News reports.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli will start the proceedings of the second day.

Earlier, Sri Lanka were all out for 183 runs thanks to Ravi Ashwin’s six wicket haul.

Captain Angelo Mathews was the top scorer for the innings with 64 runs while Dinesh Chandimal made 59 runs.

Amit Mishra took two wickets while Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron also dismissed one batsman each.

Lokesh Rahul was the first to be dismissed for India as he was trapped leg before from the bowling of Dhammika Prasad after scoring seven runs while Rohit Sharma was also dismissed in the similar fashion of the Sri Lankan skipper’s bowling.
