Gang involved in kidnapping, raping women busted in Karachi

KARACHI: Police have captured an impostor deputy superintendent of police involved in kidnapping for ransom, snatching and subjecting women to sexual assault after abduction, ARY News reported.

Team of ARY News programme, Sar-e-Aam led by senior anchor Iqrar-ul-Hasan, has exposed the ruthless gang operating in the city in its sting operation.

Their ring leader was identified as Wajihuddin who used to refer himself as DSP to mint money from public.

Sar-e-Aam team members managed to become a part of gang to record their activities in order to expose them before law enforcement agencies.

Two women, who were recovered from the gang, also recorded their testimony to police.

Iqrarul Hasan said his team members recorded footages of the wrongdoings of the gang so they could be produced before Rangers.

The criminal group had been operating from some time in Karachi and police had failed to apprehend them.
