Geelani ‘unhappy’ over no mention of Kashmir in Nawaz-Modi meeting

ISLAMABAD: In reaction to missing Kashmir Issue in Nawaz-Modi meeting, Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani termed it similar to rubbing salt into the wounds of Kashmiri people, ARY News reported.

The meeting between Pakistan-India premiers was significant for the people of Kashmir as well, yet all their hopes died as soon as they came to know that there was no mention of Kashmir Issue in the meeting.

Syed Ali Geelani said by doing so salt was rubbed into wounds of Kashmiris, while he also questioned on what basis PM Sharif invited Modi to visit Pakistan.

On one hand, people in Kashmir are laying their lives for the sake of independence, while on the other they are being arrested for waving Pakistan flag or chanting Pakistan Zindabad, but amid all this it is disappointing on part of Pakistan premier to not discuss the Kashmir cause with his Indian counterpart.
