General Raheel Sharif reaches Kabul

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif reached Kabul on Wednesday to hold meetings with the political and military leadership of Afghanistan, ARY News reports

Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar is also accompanying with the Army Chief.

Gen. Raheel Sharif is expected to hold meetings with President Ashraf Ghani, Afghan Army Chief and the Commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).

According to sources, General Raheel Sharif will seek Afghanistan’s help for arrest of Pakistani Taliban supremo Moulvi Fazlullah who said to be hiding in Afghanistan and planning terrorist attacks against targets in Pakistan.

Sources said that the intelligence agencies have traced involvement of Pakistani Taliban hiding in Afghanistan in Peshawar Army Public School attack, in which 141 people including 132 students were killed.
