General Raheel Sharif led Pakistan Army from November 29, 2013 to November 29, 2016 and was replaced by Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Hailing from a family of martyrs, Raheel Sharif has been one of the most popular army chiefs of the country.

The man who led Zarb-e-Azb, brought peace to Karachi through a full-scale operation and made Waziristan and the country’s tribal areas safe for the common Pakistani will retire from his services on November 29, 2016.
