German ambassador parodies song ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’

TOP NEWS

If one were to remember the movie (and the song as well), it also featured Saif Ali Khan. Worry not, for the German parody also featured their very own Saif Ali Khan; India’s former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid!

The parody video featured the German ambassador and his wife enacting scenes from the Shah Rukh Khan song from the Bollywood blockbuster. The song and movie’s message (as can be judged from the title) is to make the most of life as one never knows what might happen in the future. Keeping to the same message, the video is titled in German as Lebe jetzt, as was further explained by Steiner.

German Embassy India_ Lebe jetzt – Kal Ho Naa Ho by etribune

“The title says “Lebe jetzt” as in German it means exactly what the wonderful song Kal Ho Na Ho asks us to do: Live right now to the fullest,” Steiner said.

Saif, who was at the launch at the German Embassy along with mother Sharmila Tagore, told Khurshid: “Salman bhai, you were fantastic, you can put us out of a job”.

The video went viral indeed, attracting more than 300,000 views within an hour since it was uploaded. Indian film director and producer Karan Johar tweeted the video and also encouraged none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to view the video a swell. And view he did. SRK heaped praise on the parody video.

The song was sung by renowned Indian singer Sonu Nigam and the lyrics were penned by Javed Akhtar.
