Glowing tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Pakistan Day

Writing his remarks in the visitor’s book after offering Fatiha at the tomb of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the PPP chairman paid glowing tributes to the Founder of the Nation.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, along with members of the provincial cabinet, also visited the mausoleum on Wednesday morning on account of the Pakistan Day.

Talking to news men on the occasion, they said that March 23rd, 1940 holds the significance of a key milestone in the Pakistan Movement, for the Muslims of the Sub-continent resolved on this day to achieve a separate homeland for them.

He said that the Muslims realized their dream in the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by forming a separate country named Pakistan after a prolonged struggle.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar also paid a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid. He stressed on the need for unity, solidarity and mobilization of the people to cope with challenges facing the country at present.

Earlier in the morning, a change of guards ceremony took place at Mazar-e-Quaid and Mazar-e-Iqbal in Karachi and Lahore respectively.

A smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Navy took over the guard duties at Mazar-e-Quaid, while a contingent of the Pakistan Air Force assumed duties at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal.

Scouts’ units, students and a large number of citizens came to the mausoleums to pay homage to the founding fathers.
