KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad fell ill on Friday, prompting his staff to rush him to a hospital, ARY News reported.

Dr. Ibad was taken to hospital immediately without any protocol. He was shifted to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

As the governor was admitted to a room, his security team arrived at the hospital and deployed personnel on the second floor.

Doctors conducted test on the governor and advised him some hours stay at the hospital.

Former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf was also taken to a private medical facility in Karachi after he had suffered back pain in early February.

He had been braving health issues for some time. In 2014, he was taken to hospital following a heart-related problem the day he was scheduled to appear in the court.
