Govt considers to place MQM leaders' names in ECL

ISLAMABAD: After sensational disclosures made in a confessional statement of death row convict Saulat Mirza, the government considering to place the names of some MQM leaders in the Exit Control List (ECL), citing sources ARY News reported on Thursday.

According to well placed sources, the names of several top leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) being considered to place in the ECL.

The Interior Ministry will take the provincial government and other departments into confidence over the issue, sources said.

According to sources, names of top MQM leaders including Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Babar Ghori, Haider Abbas Rizvi and Amir Khan could be placed on ECL.

Saulat Mirza in his statement alleged that the top leadership of MQM has been involved in crimes.
