Govt determined to rehabilitate flood-hit people, says PM

“The government is concerned about devastations caused after flash floods.”

Addressing flood-affectees in the district, the PM said government would try to compensate the losses – ranging from infrastructural and human resources – due to floods.

He praised the entire rescue machinery, army personnel and other officials who participated in rescue operation. I also hail Shahbaz Sharif who is standing by the flood-hit people in this testing time, he added.

In days to come, he said, an assessment will be undertaken to evaluate damages and measures will be adopted to compensate those losses.

He said the flash floods inflict severe damage to the land and people.

Earlier, the PM was briefed to flood situation and rescue operation. He was told that crops were badly damaged due to floods.
