Govt forming new policy for law and order: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that Pakistan faced economic losses worth of Rs. 38 billion and lost 9,619 lives in the War against Terrorism in the past five years, ARY News reports.

The National Assembly (NA) session on Friday was presided by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, speaking at the floor of the lower house, said that terrorist organizations are active in the country.

He claimed that the federal government has taken measures to curb terrorism in the country. He added that the government has placed a ban on issuing arms license.

The interior minister has said that a new policy for law and order situation is being formulated whereas the targeted operation in Karachi is also being closely monitored.

Nisar added that 63,20,000 illegal and unverified mobile SIMs have been blocked.
