Govt ready to investigate Panama Leaks through every way: Rafique

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that the government is ready to investigate the claims made against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers through every possible way, ARY News reported.

Rafique made the statement as he was meeting the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Liaquat Baloch.

During the meeting, the JI leader said that the federal government should form a commission to probe the accusations in the Panama Leaks like the National Action Plan while having the confidence of all the political parties so that the authenticity of the claims come out in the open.

“Problems will arise if there’s no joint commission. So it’s important that an independent commission is formed in order for truth to come out in the open,” he added.

Rafique said that he will contact Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and a Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) delegation will meet the JI leadership on Tuesday.
