Addressing the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Assembly here, the prime minister seemed in no mood to demonstrate any further flexibility towards protesting PIA employees.

Nawaz Sharif said that those playing politics on PIA issue do not want restructuring of the national flag carrier, people being facilitated and country progress.

During his address, the premier didn’t forget to mention the ones who staged months-long sit-ins in Islamabad in 2014 hoping to oust the government.

He reminded that there was pressure to accept resignations of the ones behind sit-ins, but we maintained the membership of assemblies for the sake of democracy.

PM Sharif slammed that in spite of the enforcement of Essential Services Act in PIA some political parties are still backing the striking workers.
