Govt’s Ramazan relief package begins today

KARACHI: A Rs 2 billion Ramazan package introduced by the federal government has started from today, ARY News reported Friday.

Under the package, all necessary daily-use items will be available on utility stores on subsidized rates, as prescribed by the government.

The government said special discount will be given on spices, beverages and tetra pak milk.

According to spokesman of Utility Stores Corporation, all utility stories will basic goods to people through its wide network across the country.

Floor sack of per 20 kg will be available at utitlity stores on Rs 120 less in comparison to market rates, Ghee Rs 25 per kg, gram dal (dal chana) Rs 13 per kg, white gram (safaid chana) Rs 18 per kg, gram flour (besan) Rs 20, dates Rs 40 per kg, 950-gram pack of tea Rs 88, long grain rice (basmati) Rs 40 per kg, split green gram (dal moong) Rs 18 per kg and Tetra Pak milk Rs 12 per litre.
