WASHINGTON: The US-President elect Donald Trump is yet to assume his office, but his family is appeared to have been given the state protocol.
The 10-year-old son of Trump and wife Melania were recently spotted playing with a group of children at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Barron was being watched closely by several men who appeared to be Secret Service agents as he mingled with other children on the lawn at the back of his dad’s luxury estate.
At least three men were seen standing within feet of Barron the entire time and they followed the boy wherever he went.
Barron was wearing a red baseball cap just like Trump’s Make American Great Again campaign hat.
At one point, Barron was seen waving and watching on as a coast guard boat sailed past him as he stood on the ocean wall.
The NBC News reported that they were part of a contingent of 150 security personnel assigned to watch over the Trump family as they spent their first post-election holiday at the vacation retreat.
When the Trump family arrived at Palm Beach last week, roads were closed off to make room for the 45-vehicle convoy that included limousines, vans and a fire fighting van.
Trump is expected to have more than 900 Secret Service agents and personnel protecting him and his family in both Washinton D.C. and his hometown in New York City when he gets sworn in January.
