After spin maestro Saeed Ajmal has pulled out of the World Cup 2015, PCB is keen to have Hafeez cleared for bowling before the mega tournament.
Saeed and Hafeez are Pakistan’s top ranked bowlers, as they are the only bowlers for Pakistan to be in the world top 10 list. But both have faced suspension from ICC after their bowling actions were found illegal.
Pakistan’s former spin maestros Saqlain Mushtaq and Mushtaq Ahmed have both worked with Hafeez and his action would now be tested in an ICC accredited lab. Therefore Hafeez is being sent to Chennai next week for an unofficial testing of his bowling action.
