In a video message posted on YouTube today, Saeed said “I felt strange after going through the reports of protest in India’s Jawarlal Nehru University and utterly surprising was the Indian Home Minister’s statement a tweet with my name– which was altogether fake.”

He went on to say that India neglects the Kashmir dispute and continues to befool the world. “Movement of Kashmir is launched by the local people. Can’t people of Kashmir raise their own voice. At least 8,00,000 Indian troops are deployed in Kashmir and oppressing the Kashmiris.”

He said it is totally baseless to say that Hafiz Saeed is backing protests in India. The Indian home minister, he said, is now misleading his own people.

I ask Rajnath and other officials concerned to listen to the Kashmir people and it is wrong to

“Don’t you know how Afzal Guru was hanged? … How Kashmiris are being brutally murdered in their homeland?”

He asked India to shun propaganda tactics and accept the facts. The JuD chief criticized India for leveling unfounded allegations on Pakistan over Mumbai attacks.
