The Kasur rape scandal drew massive media attention towards the heinous crime of molestation. It also drew many famous personalities and politicians, including Reham Khan to condemn the incident and demand justice for the victims. Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf member and famous actor Hamza Ali Abbasi also joined in the protest against the perpetrators of the Kasur scandal.

Hamza had urged the public to join his protest and voice their dissent for child abuse in Pakistan. More than 280 children were subjected to molestation in recorded videos, which were then distributed for Rs. 50 each. The actor updated his Facebook status in his signature emotional style and urged everyone to join him in his protest again on 17th August in front of the Rawalpindi Press Club.
