Karachi: Terrorist killed in encounter with CTD
CTD personnel carried out a targeted raid at Karachi’s Musharraf Colony area in which a terror suspect namely Fazl-ur-Rehman was seriously injured. Injured suspect succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a hospital.
CTD In-charge Mazhar Mashwani has said that the slain terrorist was an operative of a Balochistan-based group. Seven of his accomplices were gunned down by Rangers in 2015.
“Rehman was an expert in making suicide jackets and plant explosives on motorcycles,” Mashwani said.
The CTD official said that the terrorist was involved in a number of attacks including two attacks on Karachi imambargahs in Qasba Colony and Orangi, and carrying out bomb attacks on SSU Police in Quaidabad and an Army Bus in Baldia Town.
